Kirby and Friends Cross Stitch

Post by sparklepeep »

Hi everyone! I just started cross-stitching, partly because I found this blog and is amazed what people can do. I'm slowly working on my second project now.

The pattern/image:

What I have so far:

Rick the hamster is done and Coo the owl has only a bit more to go. Still need to work on the fish though. =D A question: in the Game Boy color palette Kirby is white with grey (pink) highlights. Should I fill Kirby in pink? Dunno if the pink will overwhelm everything or not...

And just for fun here's the first cross-stitch-thing I ever made: Misery from Cave Story. Excuse the off colors; I didn't have the right colors and didn't want to go buy extra floss for a practice run... I think my next video game project is going to be a Cave Story thing.

Looks very good so far!
I think it would be okay to fill in Kirby with pink, as long as you use a soft pink, not a very bright one.
And just a tip: you might want to fill in the white that's inside the characters. That will make it look even better.

Make sure to post a picture when it's all done :)

Thanks for the tips! I got Coo finished except for the white and most of the fish today. I'll try filling in the whites!
