Is plastic canvas expensive?

Is it easy to use? (i.e. can I have it on my lap whilst watching the simpsons? )

For a while all I used was plastic canvas because I was making magnets. I love it and it's really cheap. The size piece that the Mega-Man is on is under $1 at my Joann Fabrics. It does have a little bit of bend to it, but if you're just going to be on the couch stitching, it'll be fine.

Like purcell mentioned, it's fine for sitting on the couch and stitching (as I normally do)
