Belthasar's Projects

Post by Belthasar »

Hey all, after much lurking I decided it was time to show some of my work and get some tips from the experts on here. I've only been stitching for about six months, which is basically brand new compared to most others, but here's what I've done so far!

Cutman, about 4200 stitches
Spoiler

Cats, about 20,000 stitches
My girlfriend is, unabashedly, crazy for cats. I made this for her for her birthday
Spoiler

Metroid Statue, about 9,500 stitches
This is what I'm currently working on. It's going to be the golden statue from Super Metroid that powers down as you defeat the game's bosses. Parking thread and stitching with more than one colour at a time is frightening, but that should probably be the next thing I work on!

LOVE the cats piece. You wouldn't happen to remember where you came across that pattern? I'm seeing my two brats in it..

I completely agree with that statement. Where did the pattern come from? I want to do it in blue on black. Unless it's your pattern and you don't want anyone copying it ;-)

I don't mind at all! I resized and touched up an existing image I had from a long time ago to create the pattern, though I don't remember where the image came from initially. This is the final pattern that I used.

Thank you! If I weren't all packed up because I move in 10 days, I would totally be starting this now. Yay cats! haha (*not a crazy cat lady... )
