Charizard, and Opinion Needed

Post by Kevin18875 »

Hi All! Remmeber my charizard from a few months ago? If not, heres the thread link: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8274

Well, I finally came up with a creative way to frame it:

What do you think?

I also need an opinion for a few pattern ideas. It seems that my A Trainer and Their Pokemon idea is a bust, so I need some opinions on these as patterns.

This one is the badges, sprites, and profiles of the 8 gym leaders, as they are found in the information about you, in the Red/Blue games.

This other one is called, "Porygon - A Programmer's Favorite Pokemon".

Interesting framing!

I also quite like the Porygon, cool background.

Ok. I take it no one likes the Framing idea with the badges and gym leaders around the player.

I love the Charizard, and the porygon.

The trainers frame is an interesting idea, but personally I would just do the badges rather than the trainers as well. It just looks kinda cluttered to me.

I agree, it looks a little busy around the frame when there's a lot of white space around the trainer in the middle. I'd go for the badges, but if you wanted to do leaders I'd choose the faces rather than the sprites. And with more available space you could move them around - a bit more spacing would make it look so much better! I hope that helps!

Sounds good. I'll revise it, and post a revision again. I think i could work with Porygon the way it is now. And my inspiration for the gym leaders and badges framing is so if you desired, you could remove the player, and cut out the center so that you could frame a picture in that. But i think i will try and draft something up with just the badges.

I've edited the frame, and only put in the badges. This time, I've put it the 16 from Johto and Kanto. What do you think?

I think it looks a lot cleaner, and puts the focus back onto what is being framed :)

I, too, prefer the frame with just the badges. Looks a lot more...sleek.
