sorry i can't give a comparison to cross stitch time because i never sat down and try to do one even though my mom taught me. i did not have the light hand or patience for it.

I've been curious to start this on DP. If you don't mind me asking, how much did the total order cost you (excluding shipping)? I'm currently working on this in cross stitch but I haven't worked on it for a month now.

I've never even heard about diamond painting until I saw this thread. It looks amazing, and looks just as addictive as cross stitch! Can't wait to see this finished.

oh it is addictive im doing the pokemon and disney halloween. the disney halloween was sold with everything. the pokemon i had to get customized. check out ali express and youtube to check it out.

That's pretty fast (well, fast relative to cross stitch speed). I think cross stitch takes me about 30-70 minutes to do the same amount depending on the complexity of the pattern and number of color changes. For a random comparison, latch hook takes me about 18-25 minutes.

If I didn't watch tv while stitching most of the time, I don't think I would have the patience myself and I still jump around from section to section or from one project to another.
