Fifth Element!

Post by goldengurl86 »

I was wondering if someone could make this photo into a design? Please not too too big, its hard to find large cloth around here. Preferably 14 or 18 count, and it doesn't matter how many colours.

Thank you in advance!

Here is what I've done for you. It's 25 pages of pattern and a 26th with the colors and symbols. The pattern comes out to 234 stitches wide by 299 stitches tall. If this is still too big, I can resize the image again and put it into KG Chart again.

Do you think the size would change with a 18 count cloth?

It would make it bigger actually.. Not sure how honestly since it is a matter of stitch counts. This pattern as is, could still be done on 18 and it would most likely be smaller, but for me to put the pattern into KG Chart on 18 ct., it wants to make the pattern about 304 stitches wide and a good bit taller. I can certainly scale the pattern back to half of it's size now and see what happens if you wish. The current pattern was made using the image you provided, but scaled down to a 1/4 of it's original size as it was about 1671 pixels wide.

I love the picture and thought it would be amazing to do, but I'm worried I'll need to restart. I decided to do it on 28 count evenweave, 2x1, but I'm concerned it's not going to show enough detail because from the progress I made so far it's not easy to tell that it's buildings.

It's hard to tell at this stage, but I'd appriciate some opinions before I continue since it's so much work. If I continue will it be fine and show enough detail or should I restart to make sure the finished project will look good?
