Two girls, one-up (now with two patterns!)

Post by mud »

Saw this image yesterday and thought that it could make a great stitching. Then again, what wouldn't?

So after some fiddling i finished a more old-school pattern that I'm going to share here before I stitch it this weekend.

Happy stitching!

PS. I never really use the designated colours. I usually just wing it, if it's not a very special pattern. But here's the floss list, according to PcStich, if someone wants it:
Cyclamen Pink - DMC-3806 (Dress and alike of Princess no.1)
Emerald Green - DMC-912 (Mushroom green)
Tangerine - DMC-741 (Face and crown of Princess no.2)
Burnt Orange - DMC-900 (Hair and alike of Princess no.2)
Apricot - DMC-3824 (Face and crown of Princess no.1)
Mahogany - DMC-400 (Hair and alike on Princess no.1)
Snow White - DMC-5200 (All white stuff)
Black - DMC-310 (All black stuff)

The background is Electric Blue DMC-996. But that just something I choose for contrast.
Kind of forgot which ones were 'dk', 'md' and such. Sorry

Didn't really have a lot to do today, so I made a second one. For princess no.2 I used a slightly different pose of princess no.1 and changed up the colours.

A little more colour. Couldn't really figure out a better font though. Some of the colours could probably be changed up a bit to reduce the amount of floss bought, but you'll have to figure that out on your own. I changed the extremly dark gray of the mushroom to black.

Colours, according to PcStitch, are as follows:

DMC-351 Coral (Faces and arms)
DMC-3831 Raspberry dk (Outer lines of the dress of Princess no.1)
DMC-3805 Cyclamen pink (Second colour of the dress of Princess no.1)
DMC-3609 Plum ut lt (Inne part of the dress of Princess no.1)
DMC-988 Forest Green md (Middle green of shroom)
DMC-987 Forest Green dk (Darker green of shroom)
DMC-906 Parrot Green md (Lighter green of shroom)
DMC-728 Golden Yellow (Crowns)
DMC-782 Topaz dk (Second colour of Princess no.1 hair and Princess no.2 dress)
DMC-780 Topaz ul vy dk (Second colour of the hair of Princess no.2)
DMC-972 Canary dp (Inner colour of Princess no.2 dress and Princess no.1 hair and gloves)
DMC-947 Burnt Orange (Inner colour of Princess no.2 hair)
DMC-402 Mahogany vy lt (Faces and arms)
DMC-3776 Mahogany lt (Crowns)
DMC-400 Mahogany dk (Outer line of faces)
DMC-3827 Golden Brown pl (Shroom-face)
DMC-975 Golden Brown dk (Outer colour of Princess no.1 hair and princess no.2 dress)
DMC-898 Coffe Brown vy dk (Outer colour of Princess no.2 hair)
DMC-5200 Snow White (All the white parts)
DMC-310 Black (All the black parts)

Lulz. I saw that picture too awhile back.
I wanted to do it in the Paper Mario style but the old school looks sweet, too.
Thanks for posting these.

Thanks for the cool pattern! And for the second one. I thought the old princess looked a little funny compared to her later version.

The second pattern looks like it could be Peach and Daisy.

The original photo had Peach and Daisy, so the second pattern works better. Oh and btw, I'm gonna post this on Sprite Stitch! Its just too good! :)

Thanks for the comments guys.

I will probably patronize my supply store some time soon to get med some pink floss. Don't think I have nearly as many shades as I need for the second pattern. I might start stitching the first pattern any day, but I would much rather just get on with some more Lucasarts characters.

(edit: Cool. This post got me up to Rank 1)
