Hrm...that one is like the lesser of two evils, eh? I sucked my thumb until I was 13 or 14. I don't know if used pacifiers as a baby but I do know that my daughter was not soothed by them at all. I think I'd prefer pacifiers because I can better control the time spent controlling the soothing. Then again...the thumb won't need to be replaced, get lost, etc. LOL!
