Sprite-Stitch the game

Post by QueenBex »

Can you imagine it?

The screen is black and then you see it, the logo blinking as the game loads.

The title comes up and flashes before moving to the top of the screen.

The logo blinks at you again before turning into a start button.

But you don't press start, not yet, you wait.

The screen blackens before the logo appears tiny in the centre, then , woosh! It flys at you filling the screen.

The main protagonist character comes up on screen, johloh's avatar standing proudly to one side as behind it gameplay plays out showing johloh slashing away with a tiny sword at countless spam bots.

Swoosh BMH appears and slides across the screen, wiping away johloh and revealing her own gameplay, tiny BMH waving a magic staff around her tiny pointed hat.

All the while stirring music plays inticing you in and getting your heart pumping.

Seriously, why is this not a thing yet?

I think we should have Servotron as some kinda awesome 16-bit robot, LL as a tiny dude with a top hat and a questionably placed needle and starrley as hat little lady with a cake (she says it's a tiny stitch but I say it's a cherry bakewell!) from her avatar pic.

Oh yeah, it's defintely a cherry bakewell!

You'd have to have Monochrome in there, with the special skill of making absolutely anything at a moment's notice out of perlers :p
Current projects: 'Heroes' sketch, experiments with surface embroidery.

Agreed! :D The rest of us are just NPCs you meet along the way. I bag being the ruler of the land in which the adventure is set! ;)

Hmm music, music... Some Final Fantasy Victory music should be in there somewhere for sure... Mario music, ooo how about some from pikmin, love those!

The epic stitches are mosiac patterns on the walls adorning the dungeons. Sword, needle, staff and cake joined together in battle to rid the land of the invasion of the spam bots!!

Puzzles have to be solved in a professor layton kind of way, races to be won and fights to be struggled through. Badges to be collected and won in order to return the land to its peaceful crafting

I don't even know what a Cherry Bakewell is! LOL. I need to restitch my avatar pic anyway because my hair is blonde again.
This whole idea is hilarious.

Okay, BMH, you're right. It does look like said confection. When I stitch my new avatar I'll try to come up with something interesting. Maybe I'll make an avatar of you while I'm at it...

I really wanna continue discussing the sprite stitch game!

I take back my wish to be a npc. Can I be the medic? I do like being a support character and being magical!!

We could do with a knight or two, any takers?
