Of course, requiring fabric leaves out the beaders, crocheters, and macaroni crafters... but it'd only be for one month.
Mostly hibernating here. Find me on Twitter @rmdcade.

Basically: you boil up a giant pot of tea - soak the fabric in the hot tea solution - set in cold water - rinse - air dry - and you can also set it with a hot iron after (the tutorial doesn't mention it but I think that's what I did...)Tea stains give white fabric a nice aged look. If you're adventurous, or crazy like me, you can rub in coffee grounds for some crazy dark stains too. my fabric is in the hoop right now but I'll try to get photos of the project (and fabric) up soon.
Thanks! I'll have to try it.
Nozomi.

We did a food challenge a while back: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5882
Some people made things out of food, and some people stitched pics of food from games.
I do think it would be interesting to do a challenge where you use unconventional items to make Pixels. I suppose you could use macaroni. ;)

Can we revisit old challenges sometime? Like once a year have a poll on which old challenge people might like to try out or re-do?

Macaroni crafters! LMAO
How about jelly bean art?!

Anyhow, here's the tea and coffee dyed fabric I made last year viewtopic.php?f=3&t=14758#p79019
lighting wasn't the best but it's so dark outside this time of year I'd have to wait another 2 months to get photos up...

I've noticed recently quite a few people trying to make props.

So how about 'physical objects'?
Give people a chance to try a different medium, however people can stick to plastic canvas if they just want to cross stitch.

Make a zelda chest, pokemon badge, keys, etc.
