I'm with you there...I have SO many big projects going on, including Epic Gen 1. I have to remind myself sometimes that every stitch is a victory!Mishatu wrote:Hey, finishing in 5-6 years would be a dream for the giant Pokemon I'm working on now. Page 7 done. Stitching is soooo much more important than school, right?
On the bright side, I'm 3 pages away from finishing the first row, so yay!

LOL
So what made you decide to stitch the background colors rather than trying a dyed Aida cloth for that? It looks amazing but wow that's a lot of work!

i'm not super familiar with dyeing and shopping for an appropriately colored fabric proved difficult, so stitching it seemed the easiest to do. Stitching it also makes it look more uniform.

Re: LOTR Middle Earth Map
So between spring break (from school) and face-to-face classes being switched to online due to the coronavirus hype, I suddenly have A LOT of time to stitch. I managed to finish another page and the end is in site!....For the first row, anyway.

Re: LOTR Middle Earth Map
Since my last post, I had three weeks off of work due to covid (a plant wide shut down, not from me having it) and a stressful end to my college degree, I have made a lot of progress on this map! I have finished row one and started on row two. I'm currently having a break from it to work on this shawl that I've had my eye on for a couple years.

I am always amazed by this project - the scale and the similar colors must make it challenging. It is looking fantastic though

You've made great progress!!! And glad to hear that your break from work wasn't from you being sick!
