My First Perler Bead Project... Zelda Themed of course...

Post by Philpepe »

Finally got some perler beads over the weekend, and last night I had access to an iron, so I took advantage of the situation and made this!

The beads are placed!

All pieces have been melted... I think I might have had the iron too hot.

And here it is put together. Had to trim it some to make the joints fit together.

What do you guys think? Should I stick with it? Was my iron too hot? Am I horrible at choosing colors? Does that Triforce make me look fat?

Don't worry - everyone looks fat in a Triforce - they're like bridesmaid's dresses......

Seriously, though - THAT IS AWESOME!! I can't believe how cool that came out, especially as it's your first time!! Bravo! :yahoo:

Thanks. I really wanted to try something more than just a flat sprite, and debated between this and a mario coin box, but this won out because I don't think I have enough same color beads for a coin box yet...

I need to get an iron though, so I don't have to borrow my wife's aunt's iron all the time...

I never touch 'em. I got enough fat problems! :D

Phil, that is pretty awesome for a first attempt at perlererer...erer...ing.
Speaking as someone with pretty much no experience using them (except for a dabble with hama beads a long time ago) I can say that if my first go was anything like yours, I'd be pretty pleased with myself! :D

Thanks blackmageheart! I'm definitely going to stick with it, and already have a pattern for my next attempt!
