Project Springfield + Movies
Hey folks-
I'm new to the forum here but have been a fan of pixel art/perler beads for ages. Just a few months ago I completed what I consider to be my pixel art masterpiece, Project Springfield.
It's a 10 foot by 4 foot model of Springfield, the home of television's favorite family, the Simpsons! It's 612 pixels wide and 216 pixels tall, featuring 54 locations and 166 characters, it includes over 140,000 individually placed beads.
There's a few pics for you but you can check out all the pieces/characters in great detail (and even view the unveiling video!) on my company site http://midnight-buffet.com

Since that was recently wrapped up, I've been working on some more random pieces in the hopes of eventually selling them. Here we have a scene from JAWS...
And a Back to the Future-inspired piece....
Of course, I couldn't immerse myself in pixel art and not do a Nintendo piece, right?
Any feedback is appreciated, guys. Thanks so much for checking out my art!
Your pal,
Kyle McCoy

Hey, thanks a lot, guys.
Spin, I worked on Springfield off and on for about two years. Just a slow burn project I worked on between other pieces, my day job, getting married... Anyway, it's certainly something to see in person. Trying to get it out there to the public and out of my living room.
