I freehand pretty much everything I make. If it isn't done freehand I either copied someone (which I only really post those on flickr and give the artist credit) or I try to make my own sprites. I had a whole lot of help with generalbrevious making the image into a black and white scratch art with that though.

if you free handed it, then props to you i wont even ask for a pattern because you deserve every bit praise you get!

I didn't even know free handing was that odd until recently. I have emulators on my computer if I need sprites and I usually just use those pictures for basic stuff. I use Photoshop to pixelate the image a bit but I often get lost on where I am when I do that.

The latest and greatest...my little octorok aka octorawk. I got the image from someone on reddit and he is all sorts of cute. I was nervous about the coloring and shading but I like him. All that is left is the dreaded ironing.

Edit: Found the artist he has his blog here http://albinoraven7.blogspot.com/ I emailed him hoping he doesn't mind. I searched for hours trying to find the artist and didn't find anything. Now I found him...I hope he doesn't kill me.
