Meridia, Daedric Prince of Life (big dang finished project)

Post by PinkPoodle »

I'm fairly new to Perler and after making some little projects I decided to design a big one using my PC Stitch program. Here's some in-progress shots:

I can't decide which style mouth I like better. Also the glow around the beacon needs tweaking. Also I had a mishap and am having to redo a large portion of this and it's very discouraging. But I'm going to finish this, darn it!

How fun...it's looking really neat!

Hot damn! Meridia is one of my favourite Princes! (I actually named my now departed goldfish Meridia and Sanguine :) )
I dunno if this helps but I like the second mouth better. And I can't wait to see more! :D

Meridia and Sheogorath are my favorite. Maybe I'll do him as a sprite. Thanks for looking at my project! I'm hoping I can work on it more tonight.

Somehow I got it all taped without too much trouble. The pattern has a bottom half with more of her robes but she's already pretty big so I'm not sure if I want to do it.

OK, so here's the entire finished thing: Imageimage2 by Roni Archuleta, on Flickr

One of her hands broke off, but I can glue that back on. Also I had trouble with the seams, but I'm new at this so I guess that's to be expected. The only issue I'm having is the fusing. Some beads melted, some didn't. I passed my iron over the whole thing a billion times; I even turned the heat up all the way.

Is this because my surface wasn't flat enough or my iron is crappy or what? Also, how do you guys hang your bead projects on the wall?

I don't know about the ironing, but from what I do know they usually don't come out uniform anyway. Maybe someone who actually has experience can advise you on that instead!
A pal of mine told me you can hang them on the wall with command strips, so that's what I use for the ones I have :D
