Re: Bead Sprites by Cave of Pixels
Been working on this one for a while now. It's a little bit niche, but I thought my fellow retro gamers might appreciate it
The sprites and text box are separate layers on top of the background, and the whole thing is mounted on 50x40cm painted canvas.

Very cool! What kind of glue do you use to keep the large mounted pieces from curling over time? Or is that not as big of a problem with Hama beads as it is with Perler? Even if they're perfectly flat when I make them, over a year or two they seem to warp unless I put them in a frame with glass.
Current projects: blackwork Macintosh, Super Mario World - Star Road map, Super Mario World - Full Map!

Well this is the first one of this size that I've not framed, so I've never had that problem before! I just use PVA glue, although I have some E6000 for stuff that needs the extra stickiness!funkymonkey wrote:Very cool! They all look incredible. Think my favorite is your Slash piece. Well done, and welcome to the forums.

That's really nice of you to say! I really like the Slash one, for some reason it's never got as much love as some of my other work, so I appreciate itDelver01 wrote:They all look incredible. Think my favorite is your Slash piece. Well done, and welcome to the forums.
