Getting Motionators

Post by yourmapper »

I'm about to order some Perler Motionators for the first time from Perler. But I don't know what is the best package to get to get the best deal.

The problem is that there are 6 different kinds of 'bead hinge montionators' but the types are not broken out on most of the Perler packages. I really want the 'pivot' types to make some 3D Perler boxes that open.

I wrote to them by email and they replied that they can't give breakdowns of what's in each package. WTF!
Unfortunately, we do not have a complete breakdown for each of the kits but there is the correct amount to make each design listed on the package.
Here is a link to all of their Motionator products. Does anyone know the counts of each type or how to find out?

Of course I don't need any beads, just motionators. The package with the monkey on it is the only one that is just motionators and no beads, and is the only one with a breakdown. But there are only 6 pivots, so at $6 that's like a dollar per pivot for me!

I wonder why they don't they sell the motionators in bags of, say, 100, like they do beads.

These sound awesome - did you end up ordering some? I followed the link and considered getting a kit to play with.
