I've seen a few of you on here doing baby items and had a quick question. Do you do anything special with the back/inside?? I didn't know if I should use some sort of flannel fusing or something over the threads.
what do you all do? Thanks

Re: Baby Items
I haven't used any sort of backing when I've made my baby items but I'm also very neat about my backing so I'm not worried about fraying or anything. If you are worried about that, or possibly chaffing, then I would suggest attaching a very thin felt backing to your piece to sew thru as well. Make sure you leave 2-3" of border of the felt around your piece as best as you can. This way you can trim it down after you finish since the fabric and move or bunch as you work thru it. Also make sure that if you use the felt backing for baby clothes that is a nicer kind the feels very soft to the touch. A baby's skin is much more sensitive then an adults and a coarse felt backing can be worse then just stitching if you don't use something very soft.
Hope that helps! ^_^
