Re: How do you store your floss?
I use a C-ring* to store the floss used in my current project. If it's a big project I use a clipboard with a storage container to keep the extra pages/floss handy.
Otherwise it's all on bobbins in boxes with the "extras" shoved in various bags and other boxes. I have my Krenrik metallics and other specialty threads stored separably too now - I ran out of room.
*(omg don't google that!) I don't know what they are called, it's like a 3-ring binder-clip but not in a binder.

That looks sooo cool! I would totally use one of those! Maybe I can get my one of my friends to make it for me...Icelandic Hitman wrote:Nobody has one of these?

The clipboard container is a really good idea! My mom has a few of those, I might have to borrow one!kuja.girl wrote: If it's a big project I use a clipboard with a storage container to keep the extra pages/floss handy.

Re: How do you store your floss?
I use clear plastic bags labeled by color code (like this). I usually keep them in a chest, but when I start a new project I transfer the colors I need onto a metal ring. I've tried almost every other system, but what I like about the bags is that they hold more than one skein (so I can buy more of the colors I use often) and also the little leftover pieces that I don't want to throw away because I'm a cheap a**.
Although I would happily trade my plastic bags for that sweet wooden cabinet...

I don't have as many as some of you - but I've started using this and plan to get more as I collect more floss.
They're for storing photos, but fit skeins perfectly! They're $40 a piece, but since Michaels does a 40%-50% off coupon every week, I plan on picking up one or two more.

Oooh, I need to get me one of those! I have the regular thread box, but those are better for holding the wrapped skeins. Too bad I gave my 50% off coupon to my fiance so he could buy a whiteboard. Oh well, maybe next week!
Current Project(s): How much time do you have? LOL

Those are really neat! I'll definitely look for it next time I go to Michael's.
I love their coupons! My problem is justifying to myself why I shouldn't buy something from there since I could find a use for just about everything lol

Re: How do you store your floss?
I like to keep mine on bobbins. I randomly stumbled across these one day:
They're free and you can print them on card stock. Here is the site to get them:

I just had to share because they're so cute.

"I assure you, Commander, the cards are sufficiently randomized."
