Painting on hama/perler beads?

Post by Ruriko »

There are limited colours available in Australia so I find it hard to find the bead colours that I want. I was wondering is it possible to paint the hama beads with acrylic paint? will it give any bad effects?

You could definitely paint them after ironing your beads, but I think it would be a bad idea to do so before ironing. Heating the paint would probably make it burn and/or crack in an undesirable way. It might be a bit difficult to paint the middle of the beads, but I think you can find a brush or an object that can make the job easier.
