Glow in the dark floss

Post by Lileya »

I'm working on a xmas gift for my husband and I'm using glow-in-the-dark floss (Kreinik Very Fine #4 Braid (052F)). I'd like to wash my fabric once the project is completed but I was wondering, can I? Is it ok to wash the glow-in-the-dark floss? Can it lose it's "glowing" property? Anyone has used this floss before, washed it and noticed any changes?

Any help would be appreciated!

I don't have experience with glow in the dark floss myself, but perhaps you could make a separate test piece and wash it to find out. Or just wash a clipping of the floss and test it.

It should be fine, as long as you do it as per manufacturer's recommendation. Check out the website for whatever brand it is and they should tell you about the thread.
