Aelys wrote:I'm trying to finish my epic Zelda Wind Waker pattern (oh, and my equally epic Monkey Island project, too), but this looks so good that I'll have to stitch it at some point. I was thinking that it would look awesome on a keepsake baby blanket.

I wonder if a hand-dyed sky blue fabric would look good... Any ideas?
This is what I wanted to do. Please post pictures if you do it. I have too many other projects on the go right now to start this.

That is awesome about the blog!

If they finish I will either get them to sign up or post pics of their accomplishments.

Also a big thank you to everyone for their words of support!!

I'm glad a lot of people loved the idea as much as I did - I spent hours gathering the source images, cleaning them up and assembling the final image. I was pretty burned out by the project just getting the image ready!!
I am also grateful that someone else stepped up to the plate as far as making a pattern, I just was not up to the task at the time.

I don't remember if I said this in the original post but I took inspiration from the "Hall of Fame: Mario Power-Ups" poster and from Servotron's pattern.

Just found this forum and HOLY COW I am excited to try all of this stuff!! After browsing through pages for the past couple hours, this is definitely going to be my next project. This is great! I'm definitely going to try it on blue cloth.

I dyed some 18 count Aida a teal-blue for the sky

and stitched a test mushroom in the corner to test how the dye holds up to washing/ironing. I'm excited!!
