Samus, Super Metroid pattern (large)

Postby kuja.girl » Sat Jun 05, 2010 12:58 pm

Hey all, I stumbled on this site while trying to find ideas for my current project. I'm going to go ahead and post my latest pattern and what I have stitched so far! I'm using 14 count black aida cloth (because linen is expensive to experiment on) but it would look really awesome on a smaller count. The pattern was created using PC Stitch, and unaltered expect for changing one color (mapped originally as DMC 209, changed to 208).

*EDIT* - DMC 3843 can be taken off the color list. substitute DMC 996 for the 4 stitches it is used, sorry I didn't catch this sooner.

Welcome!
Very nice pattern, I loves it already! If you could upload the .pat as well that'd be great! :)

The colors in the Metroid games are amazing. Even the backgrounds are amazingly detailed and varied. I've been wanting to do a scene of a boss fight for a while now but this was easier to make :)

The colors are spot on! I tried making SM Samus (this version) a couple years ago without using a pattern maker and I had so much trouble getting the colors right. Thank you so much for posting this--the finished project looks so great! I love the little stars on the fabric too, it adds a little something extra.

Is just loved! I'm not a great cross stitcher, but I'll give a try for your Samus pattern... :~

Hi!

I recently finished this pattern, and it looks pretty darn good. So thanks!

But it looks so good that I'd kinda like to have another one, with the original Samus coloring (you know, yellow-orange-red). Anyone able to convert this to Super Metroid -yellowish colors? I tried to do it, but I really lack the talent and vision for that... :(

Thanks anyway for the awesome pattern!
