Hi! I'm a teen who loves video games (especially Mario and Professor Layton) and crafts (I suppose that's obvious XD). I do some cross-stitching and sewing, and have loved looking through all the awesome crafts on the blog and a few on the forum.

Hi all, long time lurker here. Been gaming for years, cross-stitching for nearly just as long, but until I found this site I never thought to combine the two! There are so many awesome patterns on here, I'll never find the time to do them all!

Picked up some materials yesterday for the black and white link portrait, so will get started soon. Don't think I've ever seen a completed version of this one?

Hi I'm new to the site and I just got into cross stitching. I'm a perfectionist though so when I count wrong I go crazy and either rip it with a seam ripper and redo the messed up part or quit and start a new project. I found this site a few days ago and fell in love with it and I am hoping having people to talk with about cross stitching will keep me motivated to do it because I jump from hobby to hobby a lot. This seems like a really great community from what I have seen lurking the past few days.

I know what you mean about being a perfectionist im the same, Since joining about a month ago ive started the same project about 5 times. Iv'e not been happy with something different each time and restarted

Wow your a much more determined person then me 5 times Id probably have given up so good for you. Is it a project off of this site? Im working on the pikachu pile and the epic pokemon gen 1 right now plus a couple halloween ones from a book i have ( the halloween ones will probably be done by next halloween lol cuz I'm having more fun on the pokemon ones.) Funny looking over my projects i realize they are all for my husband pretty much...figures.

Nope im trying to make a pattern for myself and getting a hard time getting the colours right.
So ive put it on hold for now while i do a simple sprite based project
