Hi! I'm Brodeuse. I started sprite stitching something like two years ago. I found the blog while searching for patterns.
Sprite stitching was the answer to my prayers: I've always liked to stitch, but "normal" stitching looked old (and sometimes pretty ugly) to me ^^' So I was glad to combine two things I liked: video games and stitching! (That, and stitching simple 16x16 sprites is WAY easier than Sarah Kay models !!) :D

Hey, so my name is Stephi... I turn 26 tomorrow. I am also from Canada, and proud to be a Canuck! :P
I love to read and write, cross stitch, and playing video games....
I am engaged, and have gotten my fiancé into cross stitching too... After I cross stitched him the characters from Final Fantasy I for him last Christmas. :)
I have been lurking around this site and the forums for about a year and a half now, and I really enjoy everything I've seen on here. Everyone has such great ideas. I love to come here and just look at everyones projects.
I love watching tv too... And Harry potter... And Christmas.... And traveling.

So I've been posting for a couple of months now, but I've been a lurker for a much longer time than that, and as I'm currently just sitting around, waiting for a phone call, why not introduce myself?

I'm Shelley, I'm 24 and I live in Geelong, Australia.
I've been cross stitching since I was pretty young, when I used to buy the $3 kits to make some horribly cheesy little things! I left off from cross stitching, went through crotchet, sewing, origami, and got pretty into beading for a long time.

I got back into cross stitch about a year ago now, when I saw these really cute kits on special at my local craft store, and decided that they would be perfect embellishments to a scrapbook page I was making. I ended up with heaps of off cut adia and a desire to keep cross stitching, and ended up here in my search for cool designs that I actually wanted to make! :)

I love these forums, everyone has awesome ideas and are so helpful, and through that I learned to make patterns, and now I'm never going to have to make another ugly landscape just to satisfy my desire to cross stitch, so thank you all! :yahoo:

Howdy! My name is Jeff, but you can call me YeahYeah or Y3W or just about anything like that. I've been on the forums a few months back, just seeing what it was about, but I only just recently signed up, as I had finally started a project. I made some coasters as a housewarming gift for some friends of ours, courtesy of some inspiration from the site.

I am not exactly new to stitching, as my mother taught me how when I was younger, but it had been probably 15 years or more since I had last stitched. I've found it to be very relaxing, and my mathematical mind of enthralled by patterns of any kind. I am an avid gamer via both XBox 360 and PS3, and the DS when there's a Professor Layton game to be played. I am also very into sports, movies and cars.

I tend to be a bit long-winded, as I am sure some of you have already noticed, and I am rarely left without something to say. I try to keep it fun though! Hopefully nobody minds my loquaciousness, but feel free to tell me to shut up if needed.

Thanks already to all those who have offered help!

Hello! I've been lurking for quite a while now and recently started the "Z is for Zelda" sword and shield. If I find some time, I'll post the WIP. I'm also planning on a Wind Waker pattern I found here that looks awesome!

Hello my name is Trinity and I have been stitching for years and was on the web looking for some new ideas, and I am so glad I ran across your site. I never thought of stitch things from video games. One of my favorites as a kid was Duck Hunt, and Ms. Pac-man. I think my first project I am going to start is Duck Hunt, will post once I get the project started in a few days.

Hello everybody!

My name is Petronella ("HI PETRONELLA")

.. and I´m a geek! Proud geek ofcourse! :) I´ve been playing videogames ever since.. always I think..
I prefer Nintendo over PS and XBOX, and the Mario- and Zelda characters always warms my heart a little
when I see them.

But, If I have to order my interests, handicraft is above everything else. Stitchcraft, scrapbooking,
making jewelry, knitting, decorating.. you name it.

A few days ago I was looking for a new project, and my primary idea was photopearls. That´s how I
ended up here. At first, I saw all the amazing works you guys have been doing for a time now,
and I thought, what the hell have I been doing lately? (Correct answer is: nothing!)
Then I saw:

"Stitching Craft Projects
Video game craft projects made with thread and needles... "

OMG! The best of the best! I spent two hours just looking, shaking, beeing euphoric, starting to think
I found out the mening of life! This is for real! I told my littlesister about this, and she felt the same.

Yesterday I went to the local craftstore and bought almost everything I needed for getting started on..

tadammmm.. a Super Mario 3 world! It will measure almost 70 centimeters when it´s done.
80 000 stitches and 32 colours. I´m hoping for it to be finished during the semester next year.

I still fell that euphoric tremor and I can´t wait to continue after school today! :clapping:

And, I find it kind of hard to explain myself in only five sentences. The rest of my story:
I´m a 24 year old student from sweden! :good:
