Hi everybody! I've been lurking around the forum here for a long time, and been a reader of the Sprite Stitch blog for even longer. I thought it was about time to come out of the corner and introduce myself.

I'm known as jazzhands on various forums and such, including craftster, ravelry, and pixelgasm forum... and jazzhands9000 elsewhere when jazzhands is already taken. I've been a crafty chick, nerd, and gamer my entire life, and only within the past couple years have I started to combine the two. I like to cross stitch, crochet, knit, sew, etc... I don't really keep up with current games so much anymore, but love to replay all of the classics whenever possible.

Currently much of my spare time is going toward a very large cross stitch project.. will post a progress photo and some of my other work soon. :nod

Hey everyone. I have stumbled across this website when searching for cross stitching ideas, and I think that it is great. I have already completed my first cross stitch of Mario and I am in the process of doing another one of Yoshi. I am a 28 year old male from the UK, and I was just wondering how many other men cross stitch and how old they are, and wher they are from.

Hi, everybody!

I'm the Cyan Waffle, from deep in the heart of Texas! I've been cross-stitching for no more than a week, and I'm already addicted to it! I have so much free time and nothing to do with it, so I picked this up! I am such a gamer, too! :mush

I'd seen this site before when trying to find awesome sprites, but I had never really stopped to appreciate it. However, this site was the first one I ran to the SECOND I had finished the stitching starter kit my friend had given me!!

Good evening everyone!

I stumbled across this forum accidentally, and let me tell ya, I'm glad that I found it! I've never cross stitched anything in my life, but I'm willing to give it a shot. Everything that I've seen so far in these boards have been pretty amazing, so it's not that hard to get inspired to do the same.

I already have a project in mind, but I don't think this is the proper board to post it, so keep a look out for my special project.

Hi all,

I'm 20 years old and live in North Dakota, US. I've been lurking on the site and board for about a month now. I can't even remember how I stumbled upon the site, but I did somehow. It has such neat stuff on it! I've recently just started cross stitching again (just finishing a wedding gift) and am eager to start on some of the patterns on this site. Next on my list is Johloh's Mario through the ages, then I would like to do Servo's big fat mario pattern. My BF also wants to learn how to cross stitch, so I was going to start him on some manly pink Kirby sprites! Ha!!

As far as interests go, I adore everything nintendo...My fave character is Princess Peach!!! You can't beat a slammin' hipcheck in Super Smash! I'm working on Super Mario Bros. 3 right now (World 3 I think...). Dig Dug, Galaga, and Pac man stuff also hold a special spot in my heart! I'm also into photography.

Talk to you all later!! Happy stitching! :peach

Hey, I'm Fou Fou, and I'm a 22 (almost) English/Computer Science college graduate (official ceremony tomorrow). I stumbled upon this site about four weeks ago when I was searching for a fun cross stitching project to do (last few weeks of the semester I always go some sort of craft-crazy as a means to stay sane during all the end-of-semester work), and I was looking for something that was somewhat geeky. I ended up finding the Zelda sheild/sword emblem on the patterns page, and showed it to my brother - who promptly demanded that he wanted that for his birthday gift. So I've been doing a lot of stitching the past few weeks and somehow have managed to make enough progress that I might be able to finish in time for his birthday. And after of three weeks of lurking, I figured, I might as well join, since the community seems great here, and new ideas always seem to be popping up! Who knows, maybe some day I'll find a way to add some patterns of my own!
