Re: Introductions
Hi everyone! I live in Ireland and I love crocheting and knitting. I especially love crocheting fun stuff like video game and sci-fi related things. At least when I have time and I'm not making plain old boring baby caridgans and such. I've browsed through the forums a bit and the work I've seen is just great. I hope I can contribute.

Hi Farriba. I live in Central PA too and my son (your age) is also a HUGE Minecraft fan too... he spends lots of time watching the YouTube videos from "Minecraft Family" guys. Is your user name the same over there? I'll have him look for your videos.Farriba wrote:Hello, I'm Farriba. I'm from Central Pennsylvania and I'm a HUGE Minecraft fan. I'm also a small Youtuber, and by that I mean the kind that hardly ever get any views.

Hello everyone. I'm Daniel from Indiana. I've been stitching for about 20 years now since my Grandma introduced me to art & crafts. I found this place while I was looking for patterns and it is awesome. I don't post much but looking forward to participating.

Re: Introductions
Hi, Im from Brisbane, Australia.
I havent cross stitched for a good 5+ years but keen to get back into it.
I love the geeky video game stuff, the epic pokemon cross stitch looks amazing but not sure if Im ready for something that scale!
I do enjoy crafty things, I collect Blythe dolls and like to sew little dresses for them.
I am 30 yrs old, with a 4yr and 1yr old. Love sci-fi stuff like Supernatural and Walking Dead but my all time favourite show will always be Buffy!
Ive also become recently obsessed with my 3ds - Animal Crossing and Pokemon x.

Re: Introductions
Hey all,
I've been hanging about for a little while being nosy at all the awesome projects you guys have been doing. I have recently been introduced to crochet and after searching for gaming related crochet I found this site. My all time favorite game is Zelda: Ocarina of Time, I still remember being uber excited as we opened n64 for Christmas.
After looking around I am rather excited to try out some xstitch as i think it would be awesome to be able to do a few t-shirts for myself and some awesome wall art.
My name is Warren I am 23 from Derby, UK and love Gaming, Tattoos and Piercings.
Pleasure to meet you all!

Re: Introductions
I'm Nozomi, been cross-stitching on-and-off since elementary school, when my mother bought me some kits. I never finished them though, and the first and only one I had actually completed (until recently) was a Piglet in 2001. I got back into cross-stitching recently, though I don't remember how... Anyway, I'm a big Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, and Zelda fan, I game on nearly every console though my favorite consoles are the PlayStations, and Picard > Kirk.
Funny story, I tried making an account here a few weeks ago, with this username 'nozomi,' a particular password and e-mail address, but the e-mail address was rejected because it had already been used. At first I raged because I thought someone had jacked my e-mail, but after searching my inbox, I realized I already made an account in 2009 with the exact same username and exact same password I tried to use when making an account a few weeks ago. That consistency...
Anyway, the community here seems close-knit and friendly. I can't wait to join a challenge!

Re: Introductions
Hi...I'm new here!
I learned to cross stitch from my mom years ago, but haven't really gotten into it until recently, when I discovered that I like really big, intricate projects...can't stand small ones or ones with big blocks of color...how's that for weird!
I'm also a self taught knitter and crocheter (those two skills get put to work a lot for a couple of charity groups)...I've also started to teach myself to quilt, but that's taking a while, partly because I have to pack everything away when I'm not actively working on things (very inquisitive kitty) and because my sewing machine scares me a bit!
I've looked around the site a bit and it totally helps my inner geek get crafty!

Re: Introductions
Hello- I'm Angela (aka Meatina) from Milton Keynes, UK, and I'm 30. I've been cross-stitching on and off for years, and gaming for longer than that! I've tried my hands at other crafts, but it soon dawned on me that I cannot knit or crochet to save my life.
I grew up playing on the ZX Spectrum my elder siblings had, then moved onto the Amiga 500 when my brother bought one, so I have a real soft spot for old games.
My favourite games are The Legend of Zelda series (Gorons! ), the old Sonic games (my first console was a Mega Drive), and Mario games. Again, I have a soft spot for the days of 16-bit gaming.
Other than that, my interests are Meat Loaf (the singer, not the food- I'm vegetarian!), pandas, reading, films, Studio Ghibli, my cats (I have three), my fiance, and RPG-ing, which I have been doing for a little over a year now.
Sorry if this seems a little disjointed, it's a bit late but I wanted to do a proper introduction.
