Re: March Madness
I love to see the backs of the pieces! It makes me feel good to see how other people's look!
Oh, and awesome job on putting all this together. What a wonderful gift for the Japanese people!

Re: March Madness
when did the signing your square change?
on the other fourm it says you cant write your name just your initails?!
i was gonna sign all mine with 'Holder 2011' so it works with all my other stuff made over the last few years.
also does it need to be a colour slightly darker than where your signing it? the grass is the darkest green i have.

Re: March Madness
i was also wondering was this decided with everyone else because you might wanna let everyone know before they sign it without knowing like me.

Re: March Madness
mine are already signed because i wasnt told anything about more changes.Eliste wrote:Then go a step lighter? I think the idea is not for it to be intrusive.
my work is currently touring the uk stitch and craft shows through out the summer so seeing my name on it means they know it was me that made it and not someone just called 'ch'
my stitches are really neat because this is for charity and i dont want to unpick a finished square and one thats 70% done and already signed. it could make them really rough and untidy.

Re: March Madness
and yet it still wont be as bobbly and untidy as mine XD the back of mine feels so bobbly! although i've got better in the past couple of months so the patch isn't as bad as my Pikachu, lolHolder of Anime wrote: my stitches are really neat because this is for charity and i dont want to unpick a finished square and one thats 70% done and already signed. it could make them really rough and untidy.

Kanto Map = 60% complete.
Hetalia sprites for Xmas presents. Other projects will be put on hold until these are done. Shouldn't take long though. :3

Re: March Madness
Must be nice to have a clean back. I don't think I've ever really comprehended what that meant.

This was discussed quite a while back, actually.
I think we decided we would all backstitch initials onto the patches. You shouldn't have to worry about someone not knowing who did what, because we're also sending a booklet along with the quilt, stating who did what and how long they worked, and who they are, where they're from, etc.

Re: March Madness
Sorry Holder, you probably missed that part of the conversation! I'll add it to the PPG forums, so that all info is clear. I'm still trying to get everything added.
And thanks Brity - I forgot I needed to post a 'Scrapbook' section on the PPG forum. Because I want everyone to be honored for the patches they make. It's an awesome thing everyone is doing, and I want the person who gets the quilt to have some insight into the PPG people.
I will get that all done soon. Thanks for your patience!
