Hey all, I think I fixed the pink problem on the PPG forum. Went with a different theme. So no more scary pink background. It's safe for the eyeballs.

I could be wrong, but isn't Anchor a UK based thread equivalent to DMC?
Would that be cheaper for you guys? I've used Anchor and it's the quality as DMC so there's no reason not to use it. You just have to convert the colors.

I"m sure our UK folks are capable and know this stuff already but here's a link of conversion colors if you want to use Anchor and not DMC.

It's certainly similar, but only marginally cheaper- by which I mean today in the shop it was €1.28 instead of €1.65. Tbh, it's easier for me to buy cheap DMC online than go through the hassle of conversion and then still buying something overpriced.

I'll use anchor where a pattern calls for it, but usually I don't bother. I came from the states with a pile of DMC in tow, so I may as well just use what I know.

I would like to take on Drowzee & Hypno as well.

I just bought a batch of thread from a different seller, they are from the Philippines (so a 2 week shipping estimate), but were offering 40 DMC threads for £12.10 (including postage), so we'll see how that goes.

Yeah, here's hoping that it all goes well and you get what you paid for.

Don't forget the PPG project forums - http://www.patchworkgym.com/forums/index.php

I posted the Badge Competition rules, and voting will begin on April 15th so head over there and join in the fun!
I've been working on the layout, and the pink is gone.

Post new stuff in the PPG forums, so people can keep up and not have to dig through 40+ pages! ^_^

Anyone is welcome there. There's a place to put other projects, even ones that aren't video game related.

It's not overpriced - they had to ship it and then pay import fees - thems the facts :pac if it makes u feel better, Anchor costs more in the USA for the same reasons (and almost no one carries it).

I'd say that €0.37 diffrence does make a difference - it's almost a €4 per 10 colors. If the color conversion is the reason you are not buying Anchor - send me your pattern (png) in a PM and I will use PC Stitch to convert it to Anchor for you, that's pretty easy stuff.

It doesn't. And its still a ripoff when I can get it from sources of similar place country wise for significantly less. What I'd like is for a Hobby Lobby or Michaels type store existed here, which it doesn't. Everything is small business which means it'll be way mo expensive than it has to be.
