Hehe, it's finally coming up on Google! Yay!

There's not a great deal there yet - just WIPs and stuff. But it'll fill up soon, especially once the forums go public :D

@Holder and Firefly - are you cleaning up your images? When I transfer from MSPaint to my stitch program there's a little clean up work required. It definitely cuts down on colors.

And no we're not going to sell individual patches. Or do commissions. This isn't our original material, and if we tried to sell Pokemon, Nintendo and Game Freak would be up our tailpipe quicker than a hamster with a lighter. If I had said something like that earlier, I retract it as of right now. I most likely wasn't thinking of legal ramifications.

Stuff we can do is our original work - the badge, for example. I was thinking of an array of 'I support the Patchwork Gym' stuff. It would mostly be donation gifts, but if anyone wanted to put an original thing in the store, that would work.

Honestly I'm about to send an email to Nintendo and Game Freak and explain our project in detail - as I really, really don't want to be sued or get a cease and desist notice.

I hate legal obstacle courses.

yeah its because weedle, kakuna and beedrill all have different shades just like charmander etc have different skin tones.

i was asking because im not sure how many are doing three pokemon per square thats all.

also i meant the single squares were sold for additional funds for japan charity. Uk virgin money giving do a secure service that lets you know when people donate for something then you just sent your square to the person. that way you have proof that you took no money from the sale!

nintendo will know of this site because its a well known online way of doing things.

thousands are using this site each year for the london marathon

That sounds like an awesome idea Holder. I'll look into that. I wonder if there is a US equivalent (just because I'm based in the US).

yeah there should be, sorry i didnt want to sound like i was saying profit out of it or anything.I was told that its a great way to boost donations and more people are able to buy. So even if its only five single patches sold for £20 each thats still £100 (around $160) on top of the sale of the quilt.

i dont see why you cant use the site in the us!

an idea is that say you set a target goal of $1000 and who ever donates the most gets the quilt!
this way even if the quilt was gonna sell at around $300 on etsy, someone still gets the quilt but we generate more money for the charity

its just an idea but could work

was going to PM you but thought that with so many people working this project they might have thoughts over this idea

Well now we can discuss it in length on the Patchwork Gym forums!
http://www.patchworkgym.com/forums/index.php

It ain't pretty yet, and it's a work in progress (so expect some cosmetic changes over the next little while) but it's up. Nothing is posted yet, not even the 'list' or rules or anything. But it's up. Whee.

I signed up for the forums now. I assume we're posting all WIPs and other pictures just over there now, not here?

It might be best if you do. That was we're not borrowing Johloh's site anymore. I will fix the abominable pink problem soon though.
