I tend to buy all my thread and a lot of my fabric on eBay. Usually don't end up paying much more than £8 for 20 skeins, which is about 40p/skein.

My two favourite sellers are StitchetyWitchety (http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/stitchetywitc ... 4340.l2559) for fabric, and enchanted28sienna7nrz (http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/enchanted28si ... 4340.l2559) for threads. I've had no problems with shipping from either.

I was shocked to read LilMissFirefly's costs :O It's not right to pay so much just for 2 smallish squares! I've spent a hell of a lot less than that and for my money I got enough 16ct aida for 9 large squares and 100+ threads!!

@LilMissFirefly - you might want to consider Ebay for your supplies. I don't have much money as I don't work at the minute and I'm on my own with a little kid so I have to save the old £'s where I can (while still being able to stitch as much as I like, lol! :D), so I use Ebay for all my craft supplies.
I highly recommend enchanted28sienna7nrz (of enchanted-needle.co.uk), also Across Town Stitching, Sew and So and Stitchety Witchety. Enchanted Needle's my favourite at the minute, cos they come pre-wound on bobbins (and I believe are cut straight off the cone).
If you use a lot of one colour, like 310, you might want to do what I did and buy a 400+ metre cone from ebay (think it cost me about £12 inc postage) - you'd never get the same value in skeins, trust me!
Ebay is pretty much the best place to get your threads here in the UK, as the craft shops really rip you off (especially for the specialist threads). I'd also recommend getting your fabric on ebay, 14ct is usually ridiculously cheap compared to craft shops. Plus there's the amazing bonus of not having to go and get all the stuff you need, you just wait for it to come to you! :D

I hope that's helpful! ^^

@kuja.girl - sorry I haven't been online to reply to your post but I think Fae covered it, the PPG forums aren't available yet (as I type this, anyway) but as soon as Fae provides me with a link I'll be posting it everywhere. May also PM it to all members so that nobody misses the link :D

Unfortunately I'm missing the last colour for the 'trio, so I will have to finish the rest and come back to it. I have all but two of the colours on-hand for the snakeys though (I'm quickly approaching having 200 unique colours in three boxes ._.), so all three will arrive at the same time (went to 2 local Michael's and hit dry, ordered online instead).

Can I get the locations of the new join ups please? ^^
I think that's EveningEmma and Eliste (I already have LilMissFirefly's :D)

EDIT: @Eliste, do you have an avatar image I can use for the member list or is it ok to randomly come up with one for you? :P

We have the forums - but they're not open to the public yet, as they still look like cardboard cutout garbage. ^_^ In 2 hours my hubby will be home and I'll pester him until we have it ready. Give me 3-31/2 hours and the forums will be up.
