I would like to help out, but I don't know how much I can do because I don't have much money at the moment.

I'll tentatively claim hitmonlee & hitmonchan.

Would something like this be ok?

I'll try and make a pattern today, and I'll probably make some changes.

Hi all, I was wondering what was the site for the quilt was?

Im no longer able to go online unless im at my girlfriends (lilmissfirefly) so im missing huge chunks of this project!
Last time I checked there were only 20 something pages, now 30+

Are we no longer using sprite stitch to talk about it? and also how far has anyone got on the backgrounds because ive finished my charmander square on Saturday and im not to happy with the outcome. I dont know if its ok and not able to post a picture for a few more days.

Ive started another square already but only have 9 of the 32 colours needed so this one will take longer because im having to wait for the others.

*bangs head against wall* :banghead:

Wow. I'm not nearly spending that much per square.

I have been concerned about the cost per square vs. the return on the quilt auction. It may be quite unbalanced.
What do you people want to do?

I suppose we could sell patches separately.

I already sent an email to Kotaku.com. They said that if we ever get the quilt close to done that they'll put an article up.
I've been working on other sites as well to get the word out.

I would suggest that we take it one quilt at a time. There's no point in going for all 81 patches if we have no idea how much we'll actually get for one quilt and whether it will be worth it.

How many patches do we have right now that we know people are physically working on? How many squares do we need for one quilt? I think we should just sell the quilts as they're made. How many quilts would we get out of 81 squares? Do we even have a person willing to make that many quilts? That's a very large commitment.

One quilt at a time...

I have a few days off, and like I said, next week I have two weeks off.

I should be able to get a lot done, then. I'll be ale to commit a lot of time to my stitching. I don't feel as fast as everyone else, though.

The square itself has to be 70x70, that one is far too large.

Ironically the 81 square quilt will make a 6ft by 6ft (approx) sized quilt. That's actually really small for a quilt. It would be a lap/child's quilt.

And where do you draw the line? Where do you separate groups?

Doesn't that seem like a lot of squares for one quilt? I know they're a bit smaller than the ones for the CP quilt but we won't have nearly as many squares per quilt for that one. How much fabric will be between each square? Could we increase that amount so that there's more fabric and less squares per quilt? They certainly don't have to be full sized either. I'm just afraid that not enough people will be able to commit to making that many, even if the time is lengthen until August.

As I know absolutely nothing about Pokemon, I have no idea where to draw the line. Does it really matter though? Can it not be a mix-mash of different characters?

I really don't mean to throw a damper on things. I just want the project to be a success, even if it doesn't come to as big of a scale as you hope it to be right now. It would be great if we could do it but with cost and time restraints, it seems tricky and it would suck to have one person complete 20 squares just because they have the time.

Would it help if the rest of the squares are smaller? Like 42x42? And use faces or the smaller box icons or something?

Then we could have some large and some small squares and I'd go to my aunt and have her help me piece everything together. My aunt and cousin are quilt experts.
