Yes that is perfect! That's the one I was thinking of but my google-fu failed me and I could not find a pic of it.
I already started the sky on the Scyther/Pinsir patch so it's too late for mine but as was pointed out we have a couple of other green pokemon that need more contrast (bulbasaur + evos, etc). I'm not suggesting that anyone change what they already are working on - just that for those where the grass/sky/water don't work use the dirt :)

It's not a big deal to have only 3-4 "dirt" BGs - quilts often have a color or two that *pops* to make it more interesting.

@riotpatch - try using the "dirt" for the BG on the cubone/marowack - it should work pretty well.

Blocking out the sky - shows how I block out an area that's all one color with half-stitches before filling it in.

Arggg... one of the colors for Pinsir was totally off and I had to pull it all out :( here's hoping the 2nd time I get it right.

About having our own forums - I don't think we really need that yet, but I will look into it in case we do (being futureproof is always good). However, I think Sprite Stitch is the best place to keep a thread going right now since that's where this project started ^_^
