I like your thinking! Are you sure you don't do websites?

Can I suggest adding a fourth background to the mix? Specifically a Ground type.
We have some pokemon (like Scyther) that blend into the green too much (hence me using the sky BG) :pika

and yeah - doing the sky is hella boring ...

You did put Pinsir with Scyther right? They were supposed to go together.

What does everyone else think? Should we add a second ground background?

EDIT: Ok, I found your patch back on page 10. I think a ground background would look better, since Pinsir isn't a flying type, but not a brown one, because then we have Pinsir vanishing. If not, a sky background works.

Second EDIT: Also, now that we have a name behind our project and we aren't borrowing Johloh's anymore, we're gonna need a new logo for the logo patch. BMH and I are working on a Gym Badge, and when that one is done, we can figure out a new logo patch. There might even be a competition involved. Stay tuned!

I dunno. It's kinda a toss up for me, as I can see why we would need one, but then again, I don't see why we would need one.

Do you think we should put a brown ground one for the more "greener" sprites? I would think Bulbasaur's evolution would get lost in the green as well, but I'm not sure. I'd be fine with which ever.

I think that's awesome i thought maybe Bulba's Evo's might get lost too. same with Bellsprouts lot actually... OOH! a new logo competition sounds great! it'll hopefully be fun! as long as it doesn't get in the way of these patches

My first WIP!! Whoo! Started in the corner, and i'm really enjoying the blocks of sea colour about 8 hours work here and there, with housework and cooking thrown in too. i'm pretty happy with it so far, let me know what you guys think

I made an alternate Cubone/Marowak patch which I think I prefer (red background).
Is it OK to use? And I'm not sure which Ninetales sprite I like better.
