That works for me! Do you want to PM me the actual image or pattern files? Thank you!

I actually have to tweak the Icon. It's too small. It's 60x60 not 70x70.

So I'll do that a little later. <3

Thank you! There was no rush at all! I'm sorry if you felt that way!! No worries about where you post them as long as I can get them! :) Thanks again. I'll start working on it when I get some cloth. Until then, I'll be working on my Mario square for the other charity quilt.

Thanks Craftymaster90 for the patterns.

Could someone post how much fabric to leave on the sides? I can't seem to find that information.

For the other charity quilts (the Child's Play ones) I think we are leaving 5 inches or so on the sides, but bear in mind those squares are 6x6 inches (96x96 on 16ct). I'm no expert at quilting but I'd guess you'd want to leave about 3 or 4 inches?

BACK! (My son is out of surgery - everything went fine. :yahoo: )

You only need to leave 2 inches out on either side. The patches are only 5 inches by 5 inches (I've done other patches this size) and you don't need a whole ton around the edge, but 2 inches (or 28 rows' worth) would be perfect.

I've talked to a couple people who know more about quilting than I, and they say that my plan will make it turn out more blanket-y than quilt-y but that it'll be solid and cute. If we go with what I was talking to them about (my mom-in-law and her sister) then the squares will be arranged in a 9x9 grid with strips of fabric between them, Then we'll get the bottom half and the batting, sew down the fabric lines (to keep it all together) and then sew the outer edge closed. My husband's grandma says she's willing to help sew if needed.

Should I start a who's doing what thread? I know that digging through 15 pages (holy crap) of stuff is a bit much.

Yes, please do!

I know what would be a great help to a lot of people.
And glad to know your son is fine!

Thanks for the clarification. I'm going to go get started. :)
