<3 <3 <3 Love this thread. Streaming has been so much fun and I met so many amazing people. Can't believe I was so shy at first and scared.

Give it a try! It's a ton of fun.deborah wrote:I was thinking about streaming my cross stitch. I had a friend who lived near me to help. He has to do more work on computer before I can start streaming. I have chatted a little to people who stream. I have lurked more that chat. It was interesting to watch people cross stitch. I watched a couple people do stuff. One was doing bags and another was doing wallets and a apron. It is amazing to see people do creative stuff.
Talking to yourself for hours is definitely a learned trait. xD And yeah, much easier to talk about what's going on in an action-paced game than over a slow stitching process. Once you've a few regular viewers, they're usually more than happy to converse about pretty much anything, and you can feed off that. How was their day, the last movie they saw, their preference of pie vs cake, etc.Pyper wrote:I'm also thinking of streaming now, it looks fun At the moment I'm just following people and seeing how everyone approaches it. I'm also not sure how to talk continuously about nothing particular, so I'm thinking of starting by streaming games while I get the hang of it, and figure out things like: what is discourse, whats with all the flying graphics everywhere, and why is there several minutes lag on comments going through?
Twitch only ever seems to list one or two streams running for stitching or crochet (I go through the communities pages), is there something I'm missing or is it really this quiet?
