Sprite Stitch Board!

Hi guys and gals! I have a bit of a situation, a kind of a long story, but I attempted to get blood off one of my unfinished pieces, bleach didnt seem to get rid of it completely so to add more work Ive decided to cover it up with a patterned background!

What Im working on is a pokemon one, bulbasaur, charmander, squirtle and pikachu, (in a square formation) with a pokeball in the center, so what im after from you lovely lot is a pattern of leaves, fireballs, bubbles and lightning bolts, (for obvious reasons)

Im already feeling regret for starting this but im hoping it will all be worth it in the end! >.<

Its not a pattern, but have you tried hydrogen peroxide? I've always found that's the best for getting blood out of anything.

You should be able to just get it from the drug store. It would probably be near the band-aids or rubbing alcohol.

One thing I was told to try while doing a placement in textiles conservation is saliva. Especially if it is your blood, enzymes in your saliva should help to break it down and remove the stain. I suppose it is going to be limited depending on how large the stain is though. For small spots it works really well. Dab gently with a damp towel or kitchen paper, don't rub or you can spread it and work it further into the fabric.

I know this sounds strange but alcohol swabs work great for removing blood and ink. I don't know if i will be as effective after bleaching but it's just a suggestion
