Pixel Doll Pattern

Hey guys! I've got this doll I made for a friend, and I want to stitch it for her for Christmas. I was going to stitch it off my computer from the pixels (each single pixel being one cross stitch) but as I don't have a local craft store I just order everything online unless I need it NOW, NOW, NOW. That will make it harder to match the colors correctly.
I tried putting it in KG Chart myself, but the colors didn't turn out right. I kind of want to keep all the colors the image has already, as they show shading and detail, even though a lot of them are just a bit darker. I'm planning to stitch it on 18 Aida so as not to have it too large.
I don't need the text (including the copyright signature at the bottom). Just the doll. No background please.
If you guys could make a pattern for this, without loosing any colors (I don't care how many there are) and have the pattern specify the accurate DMC floss colors to buy, I'd really appreciate it! Thank you guys so much!

The only problem with turning it into a pattern from that picture is that the file format is PNG. Normally KG Chart only takes JPEG or BMP. If you can save the file as one of those, it should import with no color issues. Or if you can post a version of it in one of those, I can give it a go.

I use .png as my source files for KGChart (and PC stitch) normally without any issue. Sometimes problems occur when an image such as a jpg is re-saved as a png - it doesn't eliminate the compression that jpgs suffer from but only really changes the file format. I would always recommend using a gif, png or bmp as your source file.
Anyway, enough technobabble. Hope purcell doesn't mind me cutting in but I had a go at your doll in KG. I didn't like the way it turned out, so I tried it in PCStitch to see if that was better. Please have a look and see what you think.

I had originally imported it in the .jpg format. I put the .png here because it was higher quality. I will keep that in mind. Thanks so much.

That's great, thank you! There's one skin tone that turned out kinda pale, but it still looks good, so I can deal.

Thanks so much!

Thanks BMH! I have had such problems with PNGs that I forgot that KG Chart can import them too. I think the pattern looks great, and you are lucky enough to have PC Stitch to back you up.

PCStitch is a good program but it too has its problems - that's why I still have KGChart! What one can't do the other usually can!
