I've been using KG Chart to make these patterns, it's a free cross stitch program that can be found here: http://www.iktsoft.net/kgchart-en/kgchart/. It's a pretty good program. I've been playing with a few different programs (PC Stitch, PM Stitch, amongst others) and this is pretty easy to use. If you want convert a picture that has a lot of colours, this probably isn't the best one to use as it make the picture a lot darker so dark colours can just be converted to straight black. It used less colours than other programs as well. If you look in the Miscellaneous thread of the board, I did a comparison of the different programs. It's here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=323

Awesome! Thank you. I'm gonna give it a whirl and see if I can improve my pattern-making skills at all.
