My Game is Classic

I have this shirt that I love so much and I want to cross stitch the design.

I can't find a good photo of the shirt so I can't really dump it into a stitch program as. I figured I could just make a grid template in PS7 and just add the colors.

I'm just not sure what size Aida cloth would work.

I've never done a pattern and I'm hoping I could get thoughts/advice from you guys. Everyone here is awesome.

Also, if someone is bored out there and wants a crack at it, by all means.

(And I'm sorry if this isn't the exact place for this post.)

About how big would you want the pattern to be? Either size wise or stitch wise? Since you're not importing the picture and are going to try to just grid it yourself, you might have more luck starting with a size and creating it from there.

Yea, I just realized that I didn't enter that information. I wanted to be able to put it in a 8x10 or 11x13 frame.

I'm new to cross stitching and have just been using patterns from other folks and getting whatever cloth side my crap of an craft store has. I'm just starting to figure out the numbering on the cloth.

to make it very easy, the number on the cloth is the stitches you'll have per inch, so if you want it 10 inches tall and stitch on 12 count, then it would be 120 stitches tall. Obviously I chose pretty numbers here.

If you want it on the dark background, but don't want to stitch all that, you could pick a dark fabric and only stitch the grids and words and symbols and stuff... Just my recommendation.

Hi Usagi, I was bored and had a go at drawing one out in KGChart :

On 18 ct this chart would be about 18 x 23 cm (ish).
I couldn't figure out what the shape the yellow bit on the bottom right of the t shirt should be, so I just left it out >_<
I don't know if it's any use to you but you're welcome to have a play around with it :)

I thought I would see if it was possible to do this pattern with the actual game sprites. Turns out, somewhat, yes. It's slightly more square that way but it'll still work.

Sprites are from Donkey Kong (the ladders and levels), Space Invaders, and Mrs. Pac-Man, all found at The Spriters Resource.
