We will definitely do it again next year. The requirements will be exactly the same except I will specifically say no metallic thread and every block must have a full stitch. So if you wanted to get started on next years, go ahead!

At last! I'm terrible at keeping deadlines but I stuck to my guns and finished them both. I just needed to get a picture of them and I'll put them in the mail tomorrow. This has been so much fun and it's for a good cause, I'm definitely doing another one next time! Plus it's weird how after all this time stitching I still manage to learn a little something new with each project.

I litteraly have one stitch left on the Spyro square - then it's going to get hand washed before I send it off :) This is going to be one awesome quilt!

Still haven't mailed my square since I've been a bit strapped for cash for postage (and for including a bit of moneys for supplies and whatnot) - it'll go into the mail tomorrow, I promise =)

I was going to mail it on my way back from the grocery store but it was too hot to leave the ice cream in the car :Inky
So instead I'm going to mail it on my way to work tomorrow.

I have some minor marks on my white fabric :( I didn't want to spend a long time treating them because I don't think any of them will be an issue but it still worries me!

Finished Spyro patch - I ended up adding two colors...

the black cotton thread I used to mark out the number of squares left marks on the fabric. I can't tell if it's fuzz or actually dye >:( you can kind of see it in the photo in places.

It'll just be fuzz, that happens most with black and red thread. Should just come off with a wash or two. Even if it doesn't I don't think it will be seen once it's added to the quilt.
