Katdun, I LOVE those squares. I also love the bubble bobble one you picked. :D

Ducky, that one looks fine too, but I will let BMH and Servo look at it for cleanliness since they are the pattern wizards. I swear if I lived near you BMH I would always knock on your door and say "so, um, can you make me another pattern?" ;) Or force you to stitch for me so I could put them in pillows to sell. ;)

I'd love to do an Ovenbreak square (my *favourite* iPhone game right now).

Would someone please be able to make me a pattern of this square preferably using fewer than 30 colours? :)

I just want to vent over my square. Its 1/3 done and I absolutely hate it.
the pattern is ok but the colors are so off I want to rip my hair out. I thought well, maybe it will look right when its stitched out... /facepalm
I haven't touched it in over a month.. I think im going to pick up some new aida and start a new square. :glare:

Ugh I felt like that about my Ecco one, I got a wrist injury and half the pattern needed drawing out by hand...but I'm almost done with the stitching now!
What's up with your square? Can we help somehow? Maybe show a picture of where it's at?
If you don't wanna share in public feel free to PM me about it! I always make time to help people that need it :)

Its just that it looks SO yellow.. idk.. ill post a pic tomorrow, Im at work now, where I do most of my stitching lol but its at home. Aside from ripping it apart repicking colors and starting over, I don't know what else I can really do. I guess its just ugly..

Hi y'all,

Long time lurker, infrequent poster here....I'd love to make a square for the quilt(s) this summer (I really enjoy stitching but only finish if it's for someone else, this is perfect!).

I hope this scene from Super Mario RPG is okay?

I also feel your pain... the colors in my square aren't perfect, but I have come to terms with most of them (still have a few places to work out). The fact is you can only see the "problems" when you are right next to it. As soon as you back up a foot or two you can no longer see the parts that tick me off. Test this out with your patch, chances are it's not as bad as you think it is :zelda

Thanks everyone for the positive encouragement!
What I think I'm going to do is start a new square and if I'm still motivated when I finish that one, I'll go back and complete the Nemo one.

Yuck.

I'm definitely having colour issues with my Curse of Monkey Island square as well. The colours PC Stitch picked for his clothes/face/hair are sooo dark. Dark greens/browns/greys. I know it's a night-time scene but still! We had to hand pick all the colours for his face and hair but now his hair looks a little orangey. I don't think I have it in me to undo it and try picking again. I'm just going to live with it, I think. People will know who it is either way, I think. But I can definitely empathize. I wish the program had a better colour picker!!

I'd do that, too. Step off for a bit and see how you feel when you go back to it!

Yeah I'm having issues with PCStitch too. It completely ignored several blues in my Ecco II square, so much so that I had to bring the source image up in Photoshop, and copy the missing pieces to the pattern. Took a few hours!
But my main problem is that most of the blues in the water part don't actually exist in thread! So...I've improvised. Tried to make it look kinda natural.

It'll be finished shortly so I'll put up a picture today (hopefully!)
