Wow, very nice and well done Servotron... how do you find the needed time to stitch so fast ??? ;)

So now that I've finally got a little bit of time, as well as all the materials for my quilt square, I'm ready to get started. But I had a question about this:
tnitnetny wrote:* at least 15" x 15" total canvas size (it will be cut down before quilting, but there must be extra to cut)
* 96x96 stitch working space (6" x 6")
Does that mean that we'll be mailing a 15" x 15" square of Aida, the center of which is our 6" x 6" stitched piece? I know that extra margin is required for cutting down and joining and whatnot, but that's 189 square inches of blank Aida! Think of all the 8x32 px March challenge pieces that could fit! :P

Yes, that is a lot of extra Aida, but remember, you are not making a normal stitched piece, you are making a piece of quilt. In order for every square to be perfectly the same size after washing and ironing, the extra area is needed for cutting down.

I would hate to not use a piece because there isn't enough room for a seam, so the extra space gives me room to play with.

I've highlighted the squares that have been finished on the Google Docs chart here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... Ew2M0YycEE
Green for a finished piece, Yellow for a WIP.
That way if there is a game that someone wants to use but it is taken we can see if it has been finished or not and they can negotiate. I've only gone by the pictures that have been put up so if you want to update the chart yourself, feel free.

How do you highlight like that? (Terrible with Google docs.)
My Ecco II piece is definitely a WIP, although I've been neglecting to post pictures of it

EDIT: Never mind, I was just being a doink. Found the button to do it! :D

I have been in paper writing/down with the sickness hell for the past few weeks. I am still working on my Ghost Trick square, it's about 60% done I think. I might add more colors (crazy, I know), but we'll see...

I've started on my FFVI square, though it's less than 10% complete so far. Going on a trip this weekend - we'll see if I can squeeze in some extra stitching time.

As I have my patterns prepared, the current plan is to start in May after I have my current commissions completed. If that's too late, let me know.

Hi,
Is it too late to join up? I am new to the forums but have been stitching for a while and this is a great idea!
I would like to do a shot from the awards ceremony of Super Mario Kart!
Here is a picture of the pattern (may need to fix up some of the colors once I go floss shopping/matching):

I had to cobble it together a bit since I couldn't get a clear enough screenshot with the characters I wanted in it, fit to size and not come out with a bazillion colors when running it through due to my crude copy/paste job.... but it should be close enough to a "real screenshot" to count I think?

I'm still working on my Kirby block, should have it done in about a week I think. I work on it on breaks at work, and when I know I'm going to be sitting and waiting for a while, so it hasn't been going as fast it should.
