I had the same question with mine, and I ended up filling in the background. Once I was finished, I was mighty glad I had!comatosegrl wrote:Well I finally started my swap gift last night and it is looking good. I just need to decide if I'm going to fill in the background or leave it empty. Hopefully they will like it! The gifts so far are looking great.

I'm eagerly awaiting my swapee to get their gift or for me to get mine. With the day I've had, a surprise in the mail would be welcome...

Good news everyone!! I got your gift today and I love it! :DPhilpepe wrote:I'm eagerly awaiting my swapee to get their gift or for me to get mine. With the day I've had, a surprise in the mail would be welcome...
You made such beautiful tiny stitches!!! I'm mucho impressed. I'm posting an 'action shot' now! like 10 mins after opening it so it's still "fresh." At first I was like "who the hell do i know from X state?" I just moved and I think less than 20 people know my address lol.
This really made my day thank you so much Philpepe!!! I think this will actually make me look forward to reading my textbook ;)
(And my gift should be in the out going mail tomorrow AM so then it will be my turn to await news. It is bigger than i expected because it's kind of poofy >:| oh well.)
edit: hey first posted photo of a swap too! Go team!

YAY! Now that just made my day better seeing my gift being used in such a wonderful way! Glad you like it.... and those tiny stitches might look nice, but working with 22ct vinyl is almost as bad in my book now as metallic thread. Lots of patience is required, which thankfully I somehow managed to get from somewhere...

I'm allmost finished with my gift. I hope to send it tomorrow or Monday. I'm really pleased with it and hope my partner will like it too.
