No kidding! I had to laugh this semester, though - I'm on the last leg of my Administration of Justice / Crime Scene Management degree, and my Criminal Investigations professor asked us all to introduce ourselves and tell everyone what our favorite thing to do with our free time was... of course I said cross-stitching - I got some strange looks...![]()
Congrats on being so close to finishing your degree! This too is my last semester where I'll be getting two Associates degrees, and applying in october to transfer to a four year college.
Its so funny that you shared your hobby as cross stitching too! Just a couple weeks ago we introduced ourselves in Speech class and I brought in some stuff I finished and people thought the video game related ones were the best. I had people stopping me after class to look at them : )

Ok, so I'm lazy and broke, therefore I decided to use only colors that I currently have in supply on my gift. I guess you could call it being creative.
Oh, and I'm just about done.
Unless I decide to fill in the background.

You guys are so ambitious! lol I am trying to finish a Halloween x stitch I started before doing my mini swap item. I have this thing about not starting a project until I am done with the other one. It's a good thing I am almost done with it! I have my colors and pattern made for the swap, so once I start I should be done pretty fast.
You're like a walking encyclopedia of weirdness

Well, the curse of the mini-swap strikes again. Just like last year, my sewing machine has decided to stop working. Only this time, I can't fix it
I think the universe is trying to tell me something...! (Like, buy a new sewing machine.)

Andddddddd.... IT'S OFF!!!
Dropped my box at the post office today. I have to say - I have absolutely no problems giving these away, I loved making them, I love how they came out, and I am totally psyched to see what my swap partner thinks of them; BUT... giving that box to the post office lady and watching her casually toss it into a huge bin was HORRIBLE. I started to imagine all the horrible things that could happen to my lovingly crafted box of goodies between here and it's destination and I wanted to snatch it back and figure out a way to hand deliver it.
But, hopefully, in a week or so (maybe... how long does postal mail take these days anyways... I haven't sent anything by mail in forever!) there will be a not-smashed beyond all recognition box in my swappie's mailbox!!!!
