Now, when we say fit inside an envelope... would that mean it actually has to be the size of the envelope? Because I'm thinking that you could fold a decently-large size of Aida cloth and it would still fit into an envelope. I'm going to say "envelope" one more time.

ENVELOPE.
There I said it too. I'm going by the "rule" that it needs to fit in a letter-sized envelope but I'm going to ship it in a larger padded one so it doesn't get beat up. You all must stitch faster than I do - remember we only have one month!

Aww, don't say that! My project is ambitiously large... :P

Also, envelope.

OK I'm gonna clear some things up here.

Firstly, envelope.
Your item (or items) should fit inside a standard envelope. Now, last year mine BARELY fit - I couldn't seal it up properly. That is ok, it's just a guideline to encourage people to make small-ish items.
You can mail it in any kind of packaging you want, the envelope is not compulsory!

You have two...sort of. Last day to post items will be October 31st!

Whatever you want to make is fine. You can use other people's patterns, make your own from images on the net, or make something completely original.

Oh, and before I forget...envelope. :P

Have I mentioned that I can't count? :blinky
Well in that case I may have to make a slightly more ambitious project since I'm pretty sure I can finish what I have in a week or so.

How do you manage stitching???

Be as ambitious as you like (within reason, obviously) :D

Why do you think it takes me so long!?!?! ROFL
it's true - I rarely have a project where I don't miscount something. I have to be very careful with small projects where every stitch counts. :/ I also just started grad school so my brain is a little overwhelmed with dates right now.

I have to admit, every project I've done I've miscounted and had to unpick stitches...

Still not sure exactly what my project is going to be, but I'm wavering between easy and really small, easy and probably fit when folded, and quite ambitions... pass the tape!

Either way, it's going to be fun, and I am going to be stitching my own pattern for the first time!
Current Projects: Crocheting stuff, writing letters, cross stitching stuff oh, and making beer!

*snickers* I encountered that problem too... BMH was kind enough to PC stitch a pattern for me and then it dawned on me that I'd requested it 20 stitches too wide!!! Not an easy thing to cover up lmao, but I just got back from Hobby Lobby with some 22 count so it should all work out fine :P

I have 2 ideas that will probably get done, I have a few others in the woodworks that aren't completely hashed out yet, but we'll see what I have time for =)
