I don't know if this helps but its sometimes easier to get hold of fat quarters in 16ct than in large amounts (I know it is for me, although this time I managed to get metres of it). For those who don't know, a fat quarter is 18" x 22" so would be a little bigger than the minimum size.

If you're really struggling to get the material, I will be more than happy to source some extra aida and send out squares to anyone who needs them!! :D

I'll see if I can get my fabric tonight or tomorrow. I might try creating an old school Mario pattern for a square too. Looking at the page, there's a couple Dr. Marios but no one seems to have picked Mario. I found that very strange. Am I just going blind or was there a reason we weren't doing Mario?

I think that people figured the mario series would be very popular, and went for other games instead, leaving Mario virtually untouched. I'd do a SMB2 square if I had time.

I agree Rawr, it seems like some of the most popular games were untouched, I guess because people thought they'd be very popular and didn't want to fight for them. As far as I know there's no particular reason that Mario isn't on the list, along with Tetris as someone mentioned and duck hunt like Rawr had. I think if its not on the list and you want to do it, put it on the list and do it. tnitnetny will figure out what to do with any extras :P

Crabbyman, do you think that any of the squares in this post would be acceptable for the Final Fantasy quilt?

I also agree with this - I did expect to see a lot more Mario in the quilt.

I would be interested to know the reasons (if any) people have chosen the squares they have :)

Also, RAWRmonster, I know I'm not crabbyman but I think your FF square choices are great. I think my favourite out of the three is actually the first one, but I also really like the third one as well - both are very striking! ^^

What do you think? They're just random and general but I kind of love them anyway! :)

Yurtle, the bowser one is freaking awesome!

Rawr, I think any of those would be awesome for the quilt, personally I like the first one but far be it from me to stifle your creativity.
