For example, I've never played LTTP  so it would be difficult for me to know what to do. It just seems like coincidence so far that everyone has picked the same game. I have no real preference on this, I'll stitch anything, but I think some people would need help figuring out what to make if we go this route and some people might want to do something else.
That's ok, just throwing my 2 cents in, I might start looking at some Link's Awakening pictures instead then, it was the first Zelda game I finished.

I think I've chosen the patterns I'll be making, I think I'll be able to get a big piece of black aida and cut it in half. I don't think I'll bother stitching in the black background if I can get away with it.

Oh crap, you're right. Don't think I'll be doing the Dead Link one then.

Just a question, i don't know much about quilting, but why do you need a border that's almost as big as the piece itself? I don't have count 16 (I bought 18 once and still use that for everything) so i'll have to buy some for this, but was checking how much I should buy for a couple of charity-pieces... Still no problem, but I won't make 5 I guess, But I'll have to check in the store to see how the fabric is (standard width is about 140 cm so 50 inches i guess) and how many pieces I can make from it...

Two reasons, I need to be able to cut the squares down to make sure that each block has exactly the same size. Just because 2 blocks start out as 9x9 doesn't mean they will end up that way after washing them. Some people wash fabric before they stitch and some wash it after. Cotton shrinks.

Second reason I need a half inch space for actual sewing of the fabrics.

I was trying to figure out a Link's Awakening pattern earlier. I was wanting to do the scene where Link plays the ocarina to get into the Wind Fish's egg and all the instruments are there. Unfortunately I'm having issues getting it to be the right size without destroying the image. T.T
