Hi my name is Dan
and I'm late to the party.
I'm happy to help, if you will accept having an Aussie around to add further logistical issues.

thanks for all the support guys, it really means a lot.....and to add some good news to a thread i unintentionally hijacked- she had the surgery on wednesday and the doctors are confident they got all of it

so i get to help my nan recover

As i cant guarantee where i'll be, i'll still opt out of this one, but thanks again for all the kind words
P.S sorry for the thread hijack!

For the Zelda quilt, are we going to stick to A Link to the Past, or are we going to throw it open to the other Zelda games? If we do, should we stick to the 2D sprite games or include the 3D ones as well.
I have to admit, I think a Link to the Past one would be best, we could try to get everyone doing a memorable scene from the game, or one focusing on the bosses etc.
What do you think?

OK, so "sign-ups" are done, I think 3 months is enough time to get interested people. I'll go through the list at some point and see if there are any doubles soon, I'll post when I've done it. If you put "anything" as your preferred game please keep an eye on the list so that we don't have any doubles for the miscellaneous quilt.
Here are the specifics of the squares again, just to keep them close to the end of the thread:
And here are the specifics for the squares:
16 count white/off-white (no colored) aida
6"x6" (96x96 stitches) working space
We need at least 4.5" border on each side so:
at LEAST 15"x15" total canvas size
Also, plan on sending $2-$3 per square to cover the cost of quilting materials(not finalized yet, but plan for it)

Servo, I was just going to let people do whatever they wanted. Some people might have a particular affinity to one Zelda game over another so I'm not sure we should restrict it. For example, I've never played LTTP

so it would be difficult for me to know what to do. It just seems like coincidence so far that everyone has picked the same game. I have no real preference on this, I'll stitch anything, but I think some people would need help figuring out what to make if we go this route and some people might want to do something else.
