2014 Charity Quilt Creating
All of the squares are in so that means it is time to make the quilts! I was pleasantly surprised that we have exactly 36 squares! That makes 2 quilts of the same exact size.
1) Vote on the fabric of choice.
Above in the poll section let me know which fabric you would like me to use in this years quilt. We change the color every year to make them unique.
2) Take a look at the layout I have for both quilts. You are looking for 3 things. 1 - all of your squares you sent me that I said I received are there. 2 - all of the squares you sent aren't all in the same quilt. 3 - you like the layout. Do you think I should move some squares around to make it more aesthetically pleasing?
Remember, in the blank areas I will put the Sprite Stitch logo and the Child's lay logo. I have already washed, ironed, and trimmed them so I can get started right away after we make the decisions.
Thanks!!

To me, the 2nd quilt looks a bit darker than the rest. I would move Amy Rose (first quilt last row, 2nd square), to the 2nd quilt somewhere in the middle to break up the monotony of all the darker colors. That would also make it so both of my squares are not in the same quilt.

Agreed, but I think it's going to look incredible no matter what!SofaraStarfyre wrote:To me, the 2nd quilt looks a bit darker than the rest. I would move Amy Rose (first quilt last row, 2nd square), to the 2nd quilt somewhere in the middle to break up the monotony of all the darker colors.

Mines are in the same quilt as well, quilt #2. Second row second column (Mega man X) and last row first column (Phantasy Star IV). Not that it really matters to me whether or not they end up in the same quilt.
It all looks amazing though!

I love seeing them like this, because they really do look like screenshots. You almost forget that these are all cross stitched. Amazing work, everyone!

It's important that you get your squares split up that way it doesn't matter which one gets sent to the dinner auction, you can still bid on a quilt with a square you made if you want.
Ok, I will give it one more day and then rearrange and ask for opinions again.

You will have to watch my assembly video. I commented I thought these were made by the same person.samarin wrote:both of my squares are in quilt 1 - the goomba in the top row and the plants in the 4th row
